“Reclaim Your World” in an upcoming open-world VR adventure from one of gaming’s most prolific developers.

When it comes to AAA video game development, very few companies are able to hold a candle to Insomniac Games. Founded in 1994 by Ted Price, the legendary studio has been responsible for some of the most treasured titles in gaming history. Their past hits include Ratchet & Clank, Spyro the Dragon, Resistance: Fall of Man, with their highly-anticipated Spider-Man title for PS4 expected later this year.

In 2016 the company made its entrance into VR with Edge of Nowhere, an experimental third-person adventure experience, followed by The Unspoken, a magical PvP action experience for the Oculus Rift that put users in control of a variety of powerful spells. The unique title has maintained a steady player-base thanks to its adoption into the ESL VR Esports league, serving as a visually-stunning competitive title for the past two seasons.

“We’re going to see a potential for movement and exploration that breaks out of the 2D plane,” Mike Daly, Lead Designer at Insomniac, says in the developer .

“Fans can expect a lot of the things. Insomniac Games is known for crafting good stories, good controls, and a little bit of humor. Maybe some tears, I don’t know!” adds Senior UI Artist Jose Ciceraro.

If you’ve ever had the fortune of playing an Insomniac game, you’re no doubt well-aware of their immense love for colorful visuals as well as unique locomotion mechanics i.e. Sunset Overdrive.
