After sitting in Oculus Quest’s “Coming Soon” section for what feels like an eternity, Ready at Dawn’s 2017 multiplayer VR sport games Echo VR will finally be available to play on Oculus Quest, sort of.
Facebook today announced via its Facebook: Game Developer Showcase that it will kicking off a closed alpha of Echo VR for select Oculus Quest and Rift/Rift S players March 26th. Those interested in participating can sign-up here.
It’s been nearly a year since Ready at Dawn first announced the game would be heading to Oculus Quest at E3 2019. That following November, however, the company announced that it would be delaying its release until 2020. Since then Quest owners have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of their own competitive multiplayer sports experience.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Echo VR experience, two teams of four duke it out in a competitive match-up combining high-speed disk-tossing with zero-g gunplay. Score goals and deliver payloads to rack up the most points, or just kick-it in the Echo VR lobby with your team as well as fellow competitors.
The Facebook: Game Developer Showcase continues tomorrow at 10am PT for one final round of Quest and Rift S related news and announcements.
