We really wish this was sold in the U.S.
Remember back in May when Samsung teased us with a video of their limited Batman edition Galaxy S7 and Gear VR? At the time, Samsung announced that they would begin taking pre-orders for the Injustice Edition bundle if you lived in select countries like China, Singapore, Korea, Latin America, Malaysia and Russia.
The limited edition bundle was made in collaboration with Warner Bros Interactive and DC Entertainment. The Injustice Edition bundle included a murdered out Galaxy S7 with Batman logo and gold trim, a Gear VR headset, a Batman case, earbuds and a gold batarang.
For the most part hardware wise, everything is what you would expect from a Galaxy S7 except for the new paint job and a Batman software makeover, with core apps sporting new black and gold icons along with a few aesthetic design changes like the phone dial screen.
We assumed a few of you Scouts would fork over the cash and pre-order this bad boy — then immediately send us photos of course. We waited patiently to get another glimpse of this blacked out mobile VR system in a box and we’re glad we did.
Thanks to reader Abu Hafiz Abu Huraira from Malaysia, he sent us a load of images of his latest score. Abu Hafiz told VRScout that he pre-ordered the bundle online June 17th, where stock was limited to just 500 units for his country. Total price: RM 4,099.00 or roughly $1,008.
We are pretty jealous of that all black Gear VR and of all you readers who secured yourself a sweet mobile VR bundle, or shall we say, Batmobile VR.
