You can now watch world-class soccer live in virtual reality with NextVR.
Soccer fans, rejoice. NextVR and Relevant Sports are broadcasting the 2016 International Champions Cup (ICC), a preseason tournament between some of Europe’s top clubs. Using the NextVR app you get to watch the best players in the world from the stands, on the field, and behind the goal without leaving your house or paying a dime.

- Jul 27 – 8pm PT: Liverpool vs Chelsea at Rose Bowl Stadium
- Jul 30 – 3pm ET: Real Madrid vs Chelsea at Michigan Stadium
- Aug 3 – 7:30pm ET: Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich at MetLife Stadium

Game One Highlights
If you missed the first broadcast, you can still go back and see the highlights on NextVR, where you can see the winning goal, a header off a corner kick. Tell me if I’m delusional but standing next to the goalkeeper for the goal, I have to say it looked like he should have stopped it.
How to Watch
These events are free to attend via the ICC channel on NextVR, which you can access on the Samsung Gear VR. If you do have a Gear VR, here’s how to get there:
- Dock your phone in the Gear VR
- Open Oculus Home
- Download and open the NextVR app
- Watch the matches on the ICC channel
When you’re watching the game, It helps a lot to be connected to wi-fi when downloading or streaming content on Gear VR.
