Tune in to the official live stream on April 21st to catch a glimpse at new games and updates to fan-favorite titles.
In a post released yesterday via the official Oculus blog, the company announced its first-ever Oculus Gaming Showcase, an upcoming live stream event that will center entirely around gaming on the Oculus platform.
Similar to Nintendo’s infamous Direct showcase, the Oculus Gaming Showcase will feature updates on existing Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift VR games from accomplished developers like Ready at Dawn (Lone Echo, Echo Arena), Cloudhead Games (Pistol Whip, The Gallery), and ILMxLAB (Vader Immortal, Star Wars: Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge) as well as never-before-seen footage of highly-anticipated upcoming titles.
The company says that it also has a “few surprises in store.” Perhaps some long-awaited updates regarding its virtual workspace platform, ‘Infinite Office?’
The fun kicks off on April 21st at 3pm PT on Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube.
The Oculus Gaming Showcase will be followed shortly by Vivecon 2021, HTC’s own recently-announced VR-focused showcase taking place this May. Whereas Oculus’s virtual event will focus primarily on gaming, images released by HTC could point towards the reveal of new VR hardware during the inaugural showcase.
