nDreams Raises $3 Million to Fuel Virtual Reality Game Development

UK based virtual reality game studio and publisher nDreams has received an investment round of $3 million from Mercia Technologies PLC, a technology-focused investment businesses.

nDreams’ latest funding round will help the company further expand virtual reality game title development and grow their self-publishing capabilities as well as provide VR publishing support to other independent studios looking to launch their own titles.

In 2013, nDreams became one of the first videogame studios to focus solely on creating interactive virtual reality titles. The company is responsible for titles like Gunner, which is available on the Samsung Gear VR, and Perfect Beach that was released for Gear VR and Google Cardboard.

nDreams’ The Assembly is the most recent and first major title from the game studio, revealing it to the public for the first time at the EGX videogames expo in September. The Assembly is an immersive first-person adventure in VR but from two perspectives. nDreams is currently developing The Assembly for the HTC Vive, Sony Playstation VR, and the Oculus Rift.

nDreams will be taking The Assembly to the EGX Rezzed videogames expo at London’s Tobacco Docks on April 7th – 9th 2016, where members of the public will be able to play the conspiracy-filled, story-led first-person VR game and meet members of the nDreams team.
