Men In Black Is Getting Its Own Location-Based VR Game

Dreamscape’s latest VR experience has you riding intergalactic hoverbikes while battling evil Octopoid invaders.

Location-based VR provider Dreamscape Immersive is back with another location-based multiplayer experience. Open to the public next month at the companies flagship location in Westfield Century City, Men In Black: First Assignment will have you teaming up with friends to save the planet from evil alien invaders.

Here’s the scoop: a race of sentient tentacled Octopoids is threatening the Zarthanian royal family, and therefore peace among the galaxy. As the latest agent to join the Men in Black, it’s up to you and your teammates to beat back this destructive invasion using all the futuristic tools and weaponry at your disposal.

“Almost 25 years after the men in black first saved the planet from destruction, it’s incredibly exciting to welcome a new class of elite government agents to continue the story at Dreamscape,” said Walter Parkes, co-founder and CEO of Dreamscape and executive producer of the MIB film franchise. “This experience fully immerses fans in an iconic cinematic world — making them the star of their own intergalactic adventure.”

In this fast-paced location-based experience, you and up to five other agents will strap into your own intergalactic hoverbikes that will take you through a variety of unique locations. This includes the instantly recognizable MIB headquarters, home to an eclectic variety of alien races.

“Location-based VR is an important part of Sony Pictures Virtual Reality’s strategy to grow our brands and expand them to new audiences,” added Jake Zim, Senior Vice President, Virtual Reality, Sony Pictures Entertainment. “Working with Dreamscape provides us with the unique opportunity to transport people into the immersive world of Men In Black and bring the magic of the franchise to longtime fans and new audiences alike.”

Men In Black: First Assignment will be open to the public beginning October 1st in Westfield Century City. For more information visit here.

This is just the latest VR activation from Dreamscape. Over the past few years, the company has launched a variety of genre-defining experiences, including Curse of the Lost Pearl: A Magic Projector Adventure and DreamWorks Dragons: Flight Academy. This Sunday is your last chance to experience Blu: Deep Rescue before it leaves the Westfield Century City location.
