Learn more about the highly-anticipated sequel to RPO via this live VR interview.
With the release of Ready Player Two—the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2011 science-fiction novel Ready Player One—just around the corner, social VR platform and VR theater experience Bigscreen VR today announced that it will be conducting a first-of-its-kind VR interview featuring series creator Ernest Cline.
Kicking off December 5th at 5PM PT (8PM ET) as part of Cline’s ongoing virtual book tour, the live Q&A session will see Bigscreen CEO & Founder Darshan Shankar sitting down with the best-selling author in VR to discuss the details surrounding the long-awaited sequel.
“In 2011 –before virtual reality headsets really existed –Ready Player One inspired us of what was possible with VR. People are now using Bigscreen as a classroom for virtual education, as a virtual movie theater, and even as a virtual date night for people in long-distance relationships: things Ernie Cline predicted a decade ago! I can’t wait to read Ready Player Two and get a glimpse of the future,” said Shankar.
“Bigscreen is by far my favorite VR application and it’s also the one I’ve used the most this past year. I get together with my friends inside Bigscreen at least once a week to hang out, watch movies, and play games together, even though we’re scattered across the country.I’m so grateful to Darshan and his team for turning something from my imagination into a reality, and for doing it decades before I thought it would be possible. And I’m honored that they’ve invited me to appear on their platform to discuss Ready Player Two,” added Cline.
Tune in to the action live on December 4th via Bigscreen VR, available free on SteamVR, Oculus Go, Oculus Rift/Rift S, and Oculus Quest/Quest 2 headsets.
