Beat Games launches its biggest—and angriest—music pack yet.
Today marked the 20th anniversary of Hybrid Theory, the debut studio album by American alternative rock band Linkin Park. In celebration of this momentous occasion, Beat Saber today launched its Linkin Park Music Pack, introducing a collection of tracks spanning three popular albums—Hybrid Theory, Meteora, and Minutes to Midnight.
Coming in at 11 tracks in total (55 beatmaps), this is Beat Saber’s largest music pack to-date:
- Bleed It Out
- Breaking the Habit
- Faint
- Given Up
- In The End
- New Divide
- Numb
- One Step Closer
- Papercut
- Somewhere I Belong
- What I’ve Done
“Linkin Park is a band very close to our heart, we have been listening to their music since teenage years and our heart rate rises every time we hear their songs,” said Michaela Dvorak, Head of Marketing at beat Games in an official release. “But everything gets even more real when you play it in PS VR. With this music pack, we are bringing 11 of the band’s most popular songs in all difficulties.”
Also included in today’s release is a brand new game environment inspired by a scene from the music video for 2000’s “One Step Closer.” Stepping into the endless tunnel environment, players are hit with a four-color light show honoring Hybrid Theory. Each of the 11 tracks are available in every difficulty, offering even the best players a challenge. When you’re feeling defeated, just remember: ““The hardest part of ending is starting again.”
Players can download the Linkin Park Music Pack for $13.99 on PSVR, Oculus Rift/Rift S, Oculus Quest, and SteamVR. You also have the option of purchasing individual tracks at a lower price.
