Over 30 Full Games Launching For Oculus Touch This Year

But still no release date yet.

E3 gaming announcements are in full swing this week, with Bethesda revealing that Fallout 4 for HTC Vive is coming next year and Microsoft taking the wraps off their Project Scorpio, a 4K-capable Xbox One with VR support.

Now Oculus has announced a slew of new game titles for Oculus Touch, the company’s VR hand controller and tracking system for the Rift headset.

Oculus Touch will launch with more than 30 full, made-for-VR games later this year, including 20 brand-new titles that are designed around the immersive sense of hand presence that you can get from Touch controllers. The company will also be including Oculus Medium bundled with Touch orders, bringing the tactile satisfaction of sculpting into the world of VR.

Some launch title games from Oculus Studios include Insomniac’s Unspoken, Dead & Buried, Rock Band VR from Harmonix, VR Sports Challenge by Sanzaru and Crytek’s The Climb which Oculus states is now Touch enabled.

When it comes to independent games, we can expect to see titles like Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope by Croteam, Pro Fishing Challenge VR by Opus, I Expect You to Die by Schell Games, Luna by Funomena,Giant Cop by Other Ocean, Job Simulator by Owlchemy Labs, and Fantastic Contraption by Northway Games.

Although many of the titles announced we have demoed in the past, like Insomniac’s Unspoken, Oculus did reveal four all-new Touch games in the announcement that will be launching first on Oculus.

Wilson’s Heart: Coming in 2017, Wilson’s Heart by Oculus Studios and Twisted Pixel is a psychological thriller with a one-of-a-kind visual and narrative style. It takes full advantage of the natural hand gestures made possible by Touch to let you fully examine and interact with your surroundings in the virtual world. You become Robert Wilson, a patient who wakes up to discover that his heart has been replaced with a mysterious device.

Killing Floor: In Killing Floor: Incursion, a cooperative VR shooter from Tripwire Interactive, you take on the role of an elite soldier tasked with eliminating hordes of sci-fi monsters with guns, blades, and more. This Touch-enabled take on the well-known Killing Floor universe will take you to diverse environments and force you to scavenge for survival as you face an unrelenting onslaught of monsters.

Superhot: Superhot is an over-the-top, stylistic FPS that blurs the lines between cautious strategy and unbridled mayhem. Time only moves when you move, creating a unique bullet ballet that is brought to life with Touch. Your every gesture and movement lets you dodge bullets, disarm enemies, and return fire in a way that has yet to be experienced in gaming.

Ripcoil: Ripcoil by Oculus Studios and Sanzaru Games lets you enter a futuristic player vs. player arena where you can launch, catch, and punch a speeding Ripcoil disc. Control your body and hands in a way that’s only possible with Touch.

Oculus will be giving hands with 11 Rift games to E3 attendees, some of which will Touch titles that we will be sure to cover. Feral Rites, the action brawler from Insomniac will be playable for the first time; Ubisoft’s Eagle Flight will show off its latest soaring gameplay; and High Voltage Software’s Damaged Corewill preview all-new levels. Fans of Crytek’s The Climb will also discover what it’s like to cling to a cliff face with Touch, a free update for game owners available at Touch launch, which augments the highly lauded gamepad control scheme already available in the Oculus Store.
