Samsung Opening Two-Story ‘Experience Store’ In Canada

Toronto will soon be home to Samsung’s sixth and largest immersive retail store.

Set to open this summer at the Toronto Eaton Centre, Samsung’s “Experience Store” will be its biggest yet featuring 21,000 square feet of mobile technology spread across two jam-packed floors.

Much like the other five locations, the new center will serve as the ultimate one-stop-shop for everything Samsung, giving customers the chance to not only purchase their products, but sample their line-up of VR devices and content as well. All that extra space of this newest retail space will come with some extra goodies, including more Samsung VR tech as well as a brand new Samsung Kitchen Demo where customers can ignite their passion for cooking in a state-of-the-art culinary laboratory.

Here are the experiences the latest Samsung Experience Store is offering to those lucky Canuck’s:

  • A large “Interactive Zone” where customers can use the Gear VR and Gear 360 camera to experience immersive virtual reality content.
  • A Samsung Kitchen Demo featuring live cooking demonstrations which allow the public to get involved.
  • The entire selection of Samsung smartphones and tablets, as well as a large assortments of customizable accessories.
  • A Samsung TV showcase highlighting the company’s impressive advancements in picture, sound and design.
  • Immediate onsite support including Samsung Smart Service, Galaxy trained consultants and private one-on-one appointments.

Samsung Experience Stores are a perfect representation of the company’s commitment to a unified network of interconnected devices. Rather than serving as just mere retail stores, these unique locations demonstrate how each Galaxy device syncs with one another, forming an ecosystem of cooperating technology all in real-time. With Amazon and Lowes playing with similar ideas of in-store VR & AR experiences, it’ll be interesting to see who else might jump on the bandwagon.

The upcoming Toronto Eaton Centre location is being designed by Canadian design firm Quadrangle and will open to the public this Summer.
