Oculus Rift Launches With Price of $599

UPDATE: Pre-Order date is now showing as April. Possibly as inventory continues to sell rapidly.

Pre-orders which began today at 8AM PST for the Oculus Rift have launched and we now know the price and ship date from Oculus.

Heading over to shop.oculus.com, you are immediately greeted with a checkout page that includes the price of $599 and a ship date of March 2016!

At just shy of $600, the price may be a bit of a shock from what many were expecting (under $500). The pre-order includes headset, sensor, Oculus remote, cables, XBOX One controller, EVE: Valkyrie, and Lucky’s Tale.

Limit 1 per customer.

Going through checkout, there are a couple quick steps to input shipping address and billing information, then checkout is complete. Upon completing checkout, the user is given an option to reserve their spot for Oculus Touch and/or receive updates and offers for Oculus Ready PCs from ASUS, Dell, and Alienware.

The countries the Oculus Rift will be shipping to at launch include: United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and Taiwan.
