Oculus Connect 2 App

Oculus has just announced the release of their official event app for the second installment of their annual Oculus Connect developer conference. The sold out conference is kicking off next week (9/23-9/25) in Hollywood California with over 30 talks scheduled over the three days.

If you are attending the Oculus Connect 2 conference, you should head over and download the Oculus Connect 2 guide app for iOS or Android. The #OC2 companion app will allow attendees to keep up to date with speaker schedules and more importantly reserve demo times for the Oculus Rift (Demo registration will open on this app at 9:00 AM on Wednesday the 23rd).

In addition to reserving demo time for Rift experiences, attendees will have the opportunity to reserve demos for an area called “Toy Box”. Toy Box is a multiplayer VR experience designed to showcase the new Oculus Touch controllers. In Toy Box, you’ll use your hands to play with an assortment of toys and games with another real person. The E3 award-winning demo will be available to try on Wednesday, September 23rd only.

Oculus’s inaugural developer conference last year brought together nearly 1,000 engineers, designers, and creatives from around the world to showcase their projects and get familiar with the latest Crescent Bay prototype. This year’s Oculus Connect 2 will be a similar format but geared more towards the upcoming Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch, which is expected to be released in early 2016.

If you’re not attending Connect, you can tune in on the live stream from the Oculus website or Twitch.
