This Week’s New Gear VR Content (4/30/16)
Minecraft ($6.99)
Long ago, when the Rift was just DK1, and before Gear VR, developers experimented with Minecraft ports on VR. Now, it’s finally here, for “real.” Build worlds like never before in this one-of-a-kind version of Minecraft. Minecraft: Gear VR Edition supports all the features of Pocket Edition, including Creative and Survival modes, skins, and multiplayer. You can choose between the more comfortable default theater view or the more intense and immersive first-person view that lets you stand beside your creations.
Perfect Moon VR Edition (FREE)
Perfect Moon blends crazy gravitational physics with addictive game play. It seamlessly merges classic 2D platform action with the full 3D environment of virtual reality, allowing you to experience classic game play like never before. Developed by Will Sykes Games.
Star Phoenix ($2.99)
You’re on board a damaged ship, and it’s up to you to fix it. Travel down to the engineering level to find missing components. But beware, fixing a ship has never been so deadly! Star Phoenix is rendered in all its beauty by Unreal Engine and developed by Blazar Games.
MindMyths Meditation (FREE)
Now up in the Concepts section, you can transport yourself to the tranquillity of Irish nature scenes, such as lakes, rivers and shorelines, as you meditate in the comfort and privacy of a Mindscape of your choosing.
