Jaunt Releases First iOS VR Experience with Paul McCartney Performance

Paul McCartney Jaunt VR

Jaunt has released their first iOS app for iPhone users with the release of Sir Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” performance. Considering that iPhone VR apps have been slim pickings when compared to the competing Android platform, this is welcome news for iPhone owners to enjoy Jaunt content with Google Cardboard.

Jaunt is the cinematic VR technology company that we have covered previously with their 360 capture of musical performances such as Revolt’s Big Sean performance, Black Mass, and Jack White.

Originally released in November 2014 for Oculus Rift, Google Cardboard, and Gear VR, this is Jaunt’s first iOS app. Jaunt couldn’t have picked a better performance to experience with musical legend Sir Paul McCartney as he played the final concert at San Francisco’s historic Candlestick Park. The experience is a 360-degree, stereoscopic 3D, with ambisonic audio fully immersive experience.

Although the experience is optimized for iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus; any device capable of running iOS 8.0 or later can view the concert.
