Swim, climb, shoot, and craft your way through a futuristic alien world.
Arriving on major VR headsets in Fall 2021, Hubris VR is an upcoming VR action-adventure game that will have you exploring a hostile alien world filled with dangerous wildlife, treacherous terrain, and mechanized enemies.
As a recruit in training for the powerful and much-feared Order-Of-Objectivity (OOO), it’s up to you and your partner Lucia to track down a mysterious agent known as Cyanha, who is believed to be located somewhere within the planetoid belt of the Twin planet system. As you search for the missing agent, you’ll need to scavenge for supplies, craft additional weaponry, pilot vehicles, and control machinery to survive a planet that’s currently in the process of being terraformed.
Based on the footage provided in the trailer, it appears as though players can expect a good amount of swimming, climbing, jumping, and running as they navigate a hostile alien landscape that would like nothing more than to see them dead. In addition to free movement and environmental hazards, the episodic VR adventure will have you going toe-to-toe with a variety of humanoid and mechanized enemies using an assortment of futuristic weaponry.

While the trailer provides only a brief glimpse of the action, what is shown looks extremely impressive. Not only do the enemies and environments look fantastic, but the gameplay looks varied, with players jumping between fast-paced gunfights, exploration, and maybe even some puzzle-solving? And it sounds as though you won’t be alone in your struggles. In addition to pilot Lucia, players can expect to fight alongside “colourful epic characters” and various factions dedicated to uncovering the secrets of the OOO.
As a big fan of single-player games like Half-Life: Alyx, Phantom: Covert Ops, Arizona Sunshine, and Stormland, it’s exciting to see yet another seemingly high-quality VR action-adventure experience on the horizon.

Part one of Hubris VR arrives this Fall on SteamVR, Oculus, and PlayStation VR. For more information visit hubrisvr.com.
