Featured 360° is an ongoing series to highlight some of our favorite videos from creators and brands for you to enjoy during the week. For this week’s installment of Featured 360°, enter the trippy dreams of Dalí, scale Mount Everest, and let Fiat take you around for a minute.
A Whole New Spin
“Look around. There’s no end to where the Fiat 500X can take you.”
To showcase the versatility of the new 500X, Fiat gives us a glimpse of all the different places the crossover vehicle can take us. Follow the car from the road to the woods, beach, snow, and back again. This piece shines in the details; the powerhouse Nokia OZO captures the environments in vivid detail, the transitions between quadrants are seamless (Society and Rodeo Show spent time detailing the alignment of the vehicle’s path, even matching the position of the sun in each shot), and sound design is oriented around the direction the viewer faces, triggering spatial audio to generate heightened presence. This commercial is an excellent example of how artists can use 360° filmmaking to portray a straightforward idea in an innovative way.
Dreams of Dalí
Go inside and beyond Dalí’s painting, “Archaeological Reminiscence of Millet’s Angelus,” and explore the world of the Surrealist master like never before.
Ever wanted to know what it’s like to be in the wild, brilliant mind of Dalí? This gorgeously animated and scored experience is your chance. Lose yourself in the meditative, elusive and captivating surrealist landscape of Dalí’s dreams—soak up the far-out vistas of the desert, explore the inner catacombs of his constructions, and get your groove on with some stilt-leg elephants!
