Weekend Downloads: New Content for Samsung Gear VR

Weekend Downloads is part of our weekly update to bring you the latest additions to the Samsung Gear VR. This week we finally see Wevr’s Transport app make it to the store as well as a couple games that will have you aiming and piloting. There are also two new concepts that let you discover King Tut’s Tomb and one simulation to get you ready for medical school, a little something for everyone this week for your weekend downloading pleasure.

So for all you Gear VR owners out there, a little something for everyone to check out from this week.

This Week’s New Gear VR Content (4/22/16)

Wevr Transport (FREE)
If you haven’t already checked out our tour of the Wevr offices, it’s pretty epic. During our visit we got a preview of their latest app, Transport, and now you can finally check it yourself. Wevr Transport is an independent VR network that curates the work of content creators. This early access version of the platform is designed for the bravest artists and storytellers working in virtual reality to help promote and share their simulations with an emerging audience across the globe.

Discovr Egypt: King Tut’s Tomb (FREE)
It’s 1323 BC: a time when Egypt is a recognized world power. Its young leader, King Tutankhamun, has passed away and is now buried in what would become one of the greatest icons of Ancient Egypt. Explore the Ancient Egyptian ruins to see what they might have to say about the life of King Tut and the culture of early civilizations. Developed by Discovr Labs, you can find it in the Concepts section of the Oculus Store.

RCSI Medical Training Sim (FREE)
Developed for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, this medical training simulation is designed to test medical students working on the victim of a road traffic accident. You have a patient’s life in your hands and time is running out. It’s up to you to save his life.

No this not a adult VR experience, but the latest game from the developers at Family Agent. Do you like shooting things that go bang?! VR Bang is an arcade shooter with atmospheric graphics and addicting gameplay that will keep you coming back for more.
